Lesson 01 · Foundation
Form a safe fist
Curl every finger fully, place the thumb outside and keep the wrist straight when contacting a pad.
Practise only with agreed roles, suitable protective equipment and a stop signal that ends all movement immediately. The objective is to interrupt danger and leave, never to prolong a confrontation.
01
Controlled training sequence
Learn the movement slowly before adding speed, resistance or noise.
1. Close the fingers
Check the position, surroundings and agreed target before contact.
2. Place the thumb outside
Curl every finger fully, place the thumb outside and keep the wrist straight when contacting a pad.
3. Align the knuckles
Use only the agreed pad or cooperative grip. Stop immediately after pain, dizziness, loss of control or the stop signal.
4. Keep the wrist straight
Release contact, move to the marked exit and finish the drill.
